In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, and the UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade and President of the Board of Trade, the Rt Hon Jonathan Reynolds MP, Ras Al Khaimah has signed a growth partnership agreement with the UK Government to explore opportunities for trade and industry collaboration and to seek to expand both parties\u2019 strong existing links into other areas, such as education, culture and heritage.<\/p>\n
The agreement between Ras Al Khaimah\u2019s Investment and Development Office (IDO) and the UK Government\u2019s Department of Business and Trade was signed by Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of the IDO, and His Excellency Oliver Christian, His Majesty\u2019s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East and Pakistan and His Majesty\u2019s Consul General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.<\/p>\n
It states that the parties \u201cseek to encourage and explore opportunities to develop co-operation in the field of industrial growth\u201d and that they \u201cintend to support and facilitate trade in both directions between the UK and the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi said, \u201cToday marks a significant milestone in Ras Al Khaimah\u2019s ongoing commitment to fostering robust international partnerships that drive economic growth and innovation. The signing of this growth partnership agreement with the UK Government\u2019s Department of Business and Trade will enhance trade relations and it opens the door to collaborate in other fields. The agreement outlines multiple sectors where closer working between the UK and Ras Al Khaimah could lead to increased mutual growth, including investment, education, culture and heritage, with a specific focus on trade.<\/p>\n
The agreement also seeks to explore the establishment of a joint business incubator in Ras Al Khaimah, providing a platform for UK companies to expand into the UAE and wider Middle East markets.<\/p>\n
Ras Al Khaimah and the UK have set out in the agreement their mutual desire to explore areas for potential collaboration, such as supporting major development projects in the emirate, establishing dialogue on food security and agricultural strategies, supporting Ras Al Khaimah roadshows in the UK and cooperating on art, culture and education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
