The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters has launched an initiative to allow inmates at penal and correctional facilities to accompany their children on the first day of the new school year. The program takes advantage of advanced police surveillance systems, whereby participating inmates are required to wear electronic tracking bracelets.<\/p>\n

Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said: \u201cThe initiative seeks to strengthen family and community bonds, spreading happiness among inmates at penal and correctional facilities, and enhancing social cohesion.\u201d<\/p>\n
