{"id":2518,"date":"2019-07-13T07:06:22","date_gmt":"2019-07-13T07:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rakmed.ga\/?p=1759"},"modified":"2021-11-23T14:04:04","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T14:04:04","slug":"initiative-to-promote-vehicle-license-plate-renewal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rakmediaoffice.ae\/en\/media-center\/news\/initiative-to-promote-vehicle-license-plate-renewal\/","title":{"rendered":"Initiative to Promote Vehicle License Plate Renewal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nRas Al Khaimah Police launched a new traffic initiative titled \u2018\u062e\u0627\u0644\u0641\u0646\u0627\u0643 \u0648\u0633\u0627\u0645\u062d\u0646\u0627\u0643\u2019 to promote vehicle license plate renewal in the emirate \u2013 one of the various initiatives RAK Police is launching to mark the Year of Tolerance in the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>The launch took place during a preliminary meeting attended by high-ranking officials from RAK Police and chaired by Brigadier General Jamal Ahmed Al Tayer, Director-General of Resources and Support Services at the RAK Police General Directorate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new initiative serves the Ministry of Interior\u2019s objective to improve the public\u2019s satisfaction with services offered, and enhance safety and security on the roads,\u201d said Brigadier General Al Tayer.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative calls on motorists to renew their license plates as soon as possible \u2013 particularly those with plates that have been damaged or erased \u2013 seeing as the UAE\u2019s Federal Traffic Law calls for issuing an AED 400 fine for licenses with unclear numbers.<\/p>\n<p>The awareness campaign kicks off on August 4, 2019, taking place over the course of an entire month, including inspection campaigns.
