\nRas Al Khaimah attempts to break two more Guinness World Records after gaining three at previous New Year\u2019s Eve extravaganzas \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After regaling the world and captivating visitors and residents with resplendent fireworks to usher in the 2019 New Year, Ras Al Khaimah is preparing for the most dazzling edition to date \u2013 as it readies to welcome 2020 with a mesmerizing fireworks display.<\/p>\n

Planned to surpass all the record-breaking fireworks galas hosted by Ras Al Khaimah in the past years, #RAKNYE2020 promises to be a mind-boggling feat \u2013 where pyrotechnics, fireworks and laser displays will create a dazzling experience.<\/p>\n

For the first time, #RAKNYE2020 will feature pyro-drones that will create never-before-seen fireworks starting with the countdown to the beginning of the New Year and culminating with Ras Al Khaimah\u2019s main landmarks being recreated in the sky accompanied by more fireworks. There will also be a special Japanese aerial shell fireworks display, another innovative experience. The two new experiences this year attempt to clinch two Guinness World Records.<\/p>\n

#RAKNYE2020 will be even more special this year with a range of celebrities \u2013 including top performers from the Arab world \u2013 set to put forth an awe-inspiring music performance. Details of the event and tickets sales will be revealed in October.\u00a0 Families will be delighted with an added array of activities for young ones at three new locations dedicated to the public and families along the sea coast opposite Al Marjan Island.<\/p>\n

Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will once again serve as the hub of lively entertainment and festivities this New Year\u2019s Eve, with the fireworks to light up the night skies from offshore. The picturesque fireworks display can be viewed from several vantage positions, from Al Marjan Island, along the coast to Al Hamra.<\/p>\n

Get ready for another record-smashing fireworks spectacle that is indeed the \u2018Hall of Fame\u2019 of New Year\u2019s Eve celebrations \u2013 with visitors set to arrive from across the world. More details of the gala event and the attempts for the new Guinness World Record will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n

To drive the preparations for the event, various government entities in Ras Al Khaimah including Marjan, Ras Al Khaimah Police, Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Public Works, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Al Hamra and others, are collaborating to organize another compelling celebration that will enhance the status and swell the pride of the Emirate.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the organizing committee for the New Year\u2019s Eve celebration said: \u201cWe commenced work on the 2020 New Year\u2019s Eve celebration right after the successful culmination of this year\u2019s event. Having raised the standards through enhanced features and welcomed visitors from far and wide in the past years, we are committed to delivering another innovative and never-before-seen spectacle for the 2020 New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur primary focus is to engage and entertain families, and we are adding several features to delight them, in addition to hosting a celebrity gala featuring top celebrities. With the celebration, we are further underlining the reputation of Ras Al Khaimah as the go-to destination for New Year\u2019s Eve celebrations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2019 Ras Al Khaimah New Year\u2019s Eve celebration had not only welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world but also set two Guinness World Records – for the \u2018Longest chain of fireworks\u2019 and for the \u2018Longest straight line of fireworks\u2019 while the 2018 celebration set a new world record for the \u2018Largest aerial firework shell\u2019.<\/p>\n
