Ras Al Khaimah Ruler receives delegation of EU Ambassadors to strengthen strategic cooperation

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received a high-level delegation of Ambassadors from the European Union (EU) today, to discuss the deepening ties between Ras Al Khaimah and European nations.

During the meeting, HH Sheikh Saud and the Ambassadors discussed expanding partnerships across various sectors, including trade, culture and the economy, and highlighted Ras Al Khaimah’s emergence as a global hub for investment, particularly in sectors of shared priority, such as sustainable tourism, advanced manufacturing and renewable energy.

The visit also emphasized the importance of cultural exchange as a bridge for mutual understanding. The delegation commended Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to preserving its rich heritage while fostering a modern, knowledge-based economy that welcomes international talent and innovation.

HH Sheikh Saud noted that Ras Al Khaimah is eager to build strong, transparent and mutually beneficial relationships with global partners, remarking that strengthening ties with Europe and other international partners is not merely a strategic choice but a vital pillar of the Emirate’s vision. By nurturing a collaborative environment where ideas and commerce can flourish, Ras Al Khaimah aims to secure a bright and prosperous future for its people and contribute meaningfully to the stability and progress of the global community, he concluded.

The EU Ambassadors expressed their appreciation for HH Sheikh Saud’s visionary leadership and the Emirate’s remarkable sustainable development, affirming the EU’s commitment to exploring new avenues for cooperation.

The reception was attended by several senior government officials in Ras Al Khaimah, signaling a collective commitment to the next chapter of EU-Ras Al Khaimah relations.

In addition to visiting HH Sheikh Saud, the EU Ambassadors also toured Ras Al Khaimah, visiting officials at Marjan, the leading master developer for freehold land in the Emirate, and taking in sights including the historical Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village.
