New online services, including a dedicated training platform for Barjeel, and other achievements in the Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Strategy 2040 will be presented to visitors.
Ras Al Khaimah Municipality will reveal important developments at WETEX, the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition taking place in Dubai from the 21st to the 23rd of October. The Municipality, through Reem, its Energy Efficiency and Renewables Office, will participate in the exhibition along with the Public Services Department of Ras Al Khaimah.
His Excellency Munther Mohammed bin Shekar, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, said: “Ras Al Khaimah Government considers energy efficiency and adoption of renewable energy as important drivers for the competitiveness and sustainability of our economy. With our Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Strategy 2040 launched in 2018, we have already made significant progress towards improving the sustainability of Ras Al Khaimah. We are proud to bring to WETEX this year several new initiatives and projects to showcase, and we look forward to opening lines of collaboration with experts and leading enterprises attending the event, who can add value to our developments in Ras Al Khaimah.”
The Ras Al Khaimah Government stand (A88) will be in Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 in the DWTC. A trial of the new Barjeel online training platform will be available at the stand, and any building engineer or consultant is welcome to visit and try it. The agenda of conference presentations by Reem are:
- Day 1 (21 Oct.), 3:35pm – Andrea Di Gregorio, Director of Reem will present the progress and achievements of the Ras Al Khaimah Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Strategy 2040.
- Day 2 (22 Oct.), 10:50am – Henrique Pereira, Senior Energy Services Manager will present the Retrofit Program of the strategy, and its achievements and upcoming projects.
- Day 2 (22 Oct.), 3:50pm – Akshay Datar, Senior Specialist will present an update on the portfolio of projects of the strategy.
