Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation Call for Future Career Forum Presenters and Exhibitors

24 July 2019

The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research is pleased to announce a call for individuals and organizations to participate in the second annual Future Careers Forum as a panelist, speaker, workshop presenter, or exhibitor. This event is for Emirati secondary school students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 and will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 8:00 am to 3 pm at the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Cultural Center.

The purpose of the event is to raise students’ awareness around careers they might pursue after graduation in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the creative arts. This includes careers that might not be common now, but in the future will be important in the United Arab Emirates and Ras Al Khaimah. This event is also intended to help students understand how to prepare for their desired future careers, such as what they should study at university and other training and life experiences that may be beneficial for various private and public sector work.

The Foundation is seeking presenters who are native Arabic speakers that would like to speak on panels, lead special interest sessions, or host workshops on careers of national and local interest. The presentation format could be motivational, informative, or instructional in nature. In addition, the Foundation invites representatives from higher education institutions and employers from the private and public sectors to participate in the Future Career Forum as exhibitors.

Individuals and organizations wishing to participate in the Career Forum should contact Ms. Rafia Aldhahouri by email (rafia[at]alqasimifoundation[dot]rak[dot]ae) or phone (07 233 8060) to obtain a copy of the application form. Organizations may express interest to participate as both a session presenter and exhibitor. Expressions of interest will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning August 1. Presenters and exhibitors who apply by this date will receive an update on their participation status by September 1, 2019.
