RAS AL KHAIMAH, 13th December, 2018 — His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, on Thursday received Her Excellency Elisabeth Cardoso Jordao, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the UAE.
Sheikh Saud welcomed the Ambassador and wished her success in her duty to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries across various sectors.
During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Luxembourg and ways of advancing them.
The Ambassador commended the rapid development witnessed by the UAE in general and Ras Al Khaimah in particular, across multiple fields.
Since October, Ras Al Khaimah has been receiving weekly flights from Luxembourg through its international airport, following the promotional tour of Europe by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority as part of its strategic plan “Destination 2019.” Luxembourg is the first country in Western Europe to offer direct flights to Ras Al Khaimah, a development that is part of a long-term strategy between the Emirate and Luxembourg.
The meeting was attended by Saleh Ahmed Al Shal, Adviser to the Ras Al Khaimah Ruler, Mohammed Ahmed Al Kait, Adviser at the Emiri Court, and other senior officials.
