Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office participated in the Fujairah Media Forum yesterday, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, under the theme ‘Parallel Media’.
Organized by the Fujairah Government Media Office and Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, in partnership with Emirates News Agency (WAM), the event welcomed more than 200 speakers, including Arab ministers of information, editors and guests from national and international news agencies.
Her Excellency Ms. Heba Fatani, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office (RAKGMO), participated in a panel discussion during the forum, titled: ‘The UAE’s Media Landscape’, where she spoke about the evolution of Ras Al Khaimah’s media sector under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, asserting his belief in the strategic role played by the media in fostering comprehensive and sustainable development.
Ms. Fatani also addressed RAKGMO’s leading role in formulating key media messages to showcase the Emirate, using innovative digital tools and creative strategies that keep pace with technological advancements worldwide. Additionally, she highlighted its success in communicating Ras Al Khaimah’s achievements across various key sectors to a global audience, and thus, enhancing its regional and international growth.
In conclusion, Ms. Fatani asserted that media offices across the UAE have excelled in keeping pace with the country’s comprehensive development journey, communicating the UAE’s story to the world, and reaffirming its commitment to fostering the values of tolerance and openness to diverse cultures and peoples. She noted that the role of media offices transcends the mere dissemination of news and information, to include managing communications crises and challenges through integrated media strategies, implemented in collaboration with other entities, which enhances the UAE’s and each emirate’s standing and safeguards their global reputation.
