Ras Al Khaimah showcases its rapid growth, opportunities and livability agenda at Global Media Congress

Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office interacted with key international media organizations through the Emirate’s pavilion to highlight Ras Al Khaimah’s achievements across multiple sectors

Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office (RAKGMO) has concluded a successful three days at the Global Media Congress (GMC) in Abu Dhabi, where it highlighted to national and international business and media leaders the key factors driving Ras Al Khaimah’s rapid transformation into a leading, sustainable destination for lifestyle, tourism, business and investment.

Ras Al Khaimah’s interactive pavilion at GMC was a focal point for discussions on the Emirate’s dynamic growth, presenting a comprehensive view of its achievements across multiple sectors, and underscoring its rising prominence on the global stage. It was also a platform for RAKGMO, a gold sponsor of the Congress, to present Heart of RAK, its new comprehensive web and social media

platform, which offers a wealth of information on Ras Al Khaimah’s lifestyle, tourism and business landscape, from its local communities and educational institutions to a wide array of accommodation, shopping, dining and entertainment options.

The event was held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

During the Congress, HE Ms. Fatani welcomed several distinguished guests to the Emirate’s pavilion, including His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council; His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council; His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Director General of the National Media Office; His Excellency Mohammed Issa Al Kashf, Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Federal National Council; His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary General of the UAE Media Council; His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority; His Excellency Mohammed Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office; and Mahmoud Al Rasheed, General Manager of the Arab Radio Network; along with several leaders from the media sector in the UAE and beyond for discussions on ways to enhance cooperation and share expertise to strengthen the UAE’s media landscape.

Additionally, esteemed guests were introduced to the significant progress taking place in Ras Al Khaimah across various sectors, the ongoing development of the Emirate’s media landscape, and the range of services offered to media outlets.

Media campaigns and corporate videos highlighting cross-sector successes in Ras Al Khaimah were displayed on large screens at the Emirate’s pavilion. The list of featured achievements included: RAK Digital Assets Oasis, the first free zone in the world dedicated to digital and virtual assets companies, launching a groundbreaking legal framework for Decentralized Autonomous Organizations; the launch of Seven Wonders in Ras Al Khaimah, a unique concert series that was headlined in its first iteration by internationally renowned DJ Armin Van Buuren; and numerous recent announcements, such as the launch of the forthcoming La Mer by ELIE SAAB and Tonino Lamborghini Residences in the Emirate; and the signing of a trade agreement between Ras Al Khaimah and the UK Government.

This year’s Congress centered on ‘Shaping Future Media’, with three distinct themes driving the conversation: the Business of Media; Content is King; and Digital Disruption. Workshops and interactive sessions on key topics were led by high-level experts in the industry from across the globe, with topics including digital communication, artificial intelligence, advanced technologies and innovation in the media sector.
