H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, highlighted the importance of aviation as the cornerstone for driving sustainable development in the future and a key driver of the growth of the economic and tourism sectors, along with other vital sectors, in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE in general.

He made this statement while attending the ninth edition of the Arab Aviation Summit, which is being held at the Al Hamra International Exhibition and Conference Centre, under the theme “Roadmap to Recovery”.

Sheikh Saud commended the summit’s key role in providing a national and international platform that brings together major experts and partners in the field of aviation, to discuss the road to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Hosting this event for the second consecutive year underscores our ambitions to support the aviation and tourism sectors in the emirate, and strengthens the UAE’s global stature in these two areas,” he said.

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority is hosting the ninth edition of the summit, supported by international partners that include Airbus, CFM, Air Arabia and the Alfa Aviation Academy.

The summit, which concludes on 2nd March, 2022, aims to highlight the approaches, visions and opportunities that drive the growth and development of the tourism and aviation sectors in Arab countries.
