His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, stated that the Hope Probe’s success in its mission to reach the orbit of Mars is a historic scientific achievement that cements the UAE’s position among the advanced space nations of the world.
Sheikh Saud lauded this Arab achievement, accomplished by the people of the UAE and made possible by the wise leadership’s unwavering support. “The Emirati people are capable of fulfilling their dreams and aspirations without limitations,” Sheikh Saud asserted. “The word ‘impossible’ is not in our dictionary.”
“Five decades ago, the Founding Father of our country, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, had an ambitious dream to go from the desert to space,” Sheikh Saud said. “And today, this dream is a reality, just in time for the UAE to celebrate its 50th anniversary. With the brilliant minds and hard work of our people and our youth, the UAE is making history, championing science, spreading hope and achieving the impossible. As the Hope Probe enters its orbit around Mars, we congratulate the Emirati people on this historic triumph, but also the entire Arab and Islamic world. It is an accomplishment that demonstrates the UAE’s cultural and humanitarian values, reaffirming our ability to compete with developed countries in both space and science.”
