Saud bin Saqr Foundation and Ras Al Khaimah Chamber Participate in “Turathna Exhibition” in Egypt

Saud bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development and Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry shall participate in “Turathna Exhibition” in Cairo, which is organized by Egypt Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, after receiving an invitation from the event organizer “MSMEDA”. The exhibition is going to take place in the period from 9th to 15th October at Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), New Cairo. The participation of the United Arab Emirates for the second consecutive year comes within the framework of strengthening the business and cultural relations between the two countries.

Turathna Exhibition for Egyptian handicrafts and local handmade art is one of the key specialized global exhibitions organized by Egypt Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency for the third year under patronage and in presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.  Nevine Gamea, Executive Director of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency was keen to allocate a pavilion for UAE in the exhibition represented by Saud bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development and Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the UAE great participation of the previous year in the exhibition with handicrafts and distinguished art product, and Emirati shows that reflected the high-end and authentic Emirati and attracted officials and public to the UAE pavilion throughout the exhibition days.

H.E. Mohamed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi stressed that participation of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Turathna Exhibition is due to the fact that such exhibitions are a mirror that reflects cultures of peoples and countries, and it represents a platform for each country to showcase their culture and heritage, offering the visitors a unique experience to enjoy shopping and the diverse cultures, as it is one of the major specialized exhibitions in the heritage handicraft products, it also offers an opportunity for communication with many participating countries to increase the trade exchange and exploring new markets and opportunities for the SMEs owners in UAE or Egypt.

He underscored the keenness of the two countries to strengthen the relations of UAE and Egypt and continuous cooperation in all fields and in the heritage and handicraft products in particular. He further noted that SMEs and entrepreneurship sector is the backbone of the economic development for any country. He noted that the UAE offers great attention to this crucial sector, making all the efforts to develop its capabilities in this field, through the legislations or by developing a business environment and enabling citizen entrepreneurs to participate in the exhibitions to open new markets for them.

Youssef Ismail, Head of the Supreme Committee of Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development said “our participation Turathna exhibition comes after the great success of our participation last year for which the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency in Egypt invited us this year. The UAE was the only gulf state to participate in the exhibition last year, after the successes achieved, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate this year, along with other Arab countries including Jordan, Sudan and Libya, which confirms the keenness to  strengthen the joint cooperation relations and ties between the Arab nations through participating in the heritage cultures that express the Arab identity, while it promotes bilateral trade and economic integration at the regional level, particularly among the SME owners in these countries.

He noted that these exhibitions offer effective platforms for concluding partnership in the SMEs sector at the global level, and offer the opportunity for participants from the different countries across the world to exchange experiences and build commercial relationships and explore new investment opportunities. It also offers a great opportunity to boost the distinguished relations between UAE and Egypt.
