September 12, 2024, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has held high-level discussions with Chinese business leaders during his six-day visit to China leading a delegation from Ras Al Khaimah.
During a trip where he delivered a keynote address at the 24th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, Fujian Province, HH Sheikh Saud also visited the cities of Shenzhen and Dongguan, in Guangdong Province, and held discussions with various leaders of industry in each.
HH Sheikh Saud discussed Ras Al Khaimah’s historical trade relations with China, which date back to the Yuan Dynasty, of the 13th and 14th centuries, the Emirate’s rapid cross-sector growth in recent years and his vision to create a vibrant, sustainable environment, where strategic investment and preservation of the Emirate’s unique cultural heritage go hand-in-hand with ensuring prosperity for its people.
HH Sheikh Saud emphasized the need to work together to advance common goals and interests, to forge a new investment landscape, with inclusive, sustainable and mutually beneficial growth.
During the trip, HH Sheikh Saud also attended the signing of agreements between Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and THI Holding Management Corporation, as well as between RAK Ports and Jianhua Construction Materials Company.
HH Sheikh Saud held meetings with the leadership of Huawei; China Railway Construction Corporation; China Road and Bridge Corporation; Shenzhen Capital Operation Group; Cathay Capital Group; JD.com; Xiamen Airlines; King Long Automotive; Nexperia; Jianhua Construction Materials Company; and Hytera during his visit.
