The UAE claims 118 awards in the 4th Edition of “Stevie Awards”

The Middle East & North Africa Awards Stevie honored the winners of their Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories, in its 4th Edition, which was held this year. The honoring took place during a huge party that was hosted by Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Hotel, and sponsored by Ras al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry “RAK Chamber”. 18 countries participated in this year’s edition of the Awards, while 14 countries among them were qualified to the final stages. The total number of winners was 109, who claimed 316 awards, i.e. 121 Gold awards, 92 Silver, and 98 Bronze ones.

Some nominees claimed more than one award, as they have been nominated in more than one category. The awards included 3 honorary awards for partners and sponsors, as well as two awards for the winners who have been granted the highest number of points by the panel, and were claimed by Turkey. 46 governmental & private institutions from the UAE participated in this year’s edition of the Awards, and claimed 118 awards, e.g. Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories. The Turkish institutions claimed 78 awards, followed by the Saudi institutions, which clinched 42 awards, then the Jordanian ones, which won 18 awards, Qatar grabbed 14 awards for its institutions, Egypt 9 awards, Iran 8 awards, Bahrain 6 awards, Kuwait 3 awards, and finally Oman, Palestine, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Morocco claimed one award per each.

H. E Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ras al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the fact that RAk hosts the Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards ensued from its adoption of the excellence, as a culture and also as a practice, its keenness to support and stimulate the positive completion among the governmental and private institutions, both inside and outside the country, and highlight the successful and excellent models. Al Nuaimi underlined

the fact that RAK through this approach seeks to offer the best services, and develop the performance efficiently and effectively to establish an Arab model for the futuristic governmental and private working.

“Accordingly, the instructions of our wise leadership prescribed that we must permanently undertake the role of an international platform to achieve and stimulate the governmental and private excellence all over the world, in a manner which reflects the pioneering status of the UAE particularly, and the RAK privately, and what the UAE represents, as a laboratory for the governmental and private excellence, and highlighting the best distinctive practices all over the world in this regards”, Al Nuaimi told.

“I would like to express my pleasure for the pioneering status and the excellence achieved by the winners of the Awards, as they won them deservedly. This resulted into the inspirational models in the institutional working that we witnessed in the honoring party. Our leadership is keen to sponsor the all initiatives that can establish a positive mentality among the leaders of the governmental and private sectors, with the aim of helping them in adopting the institutional excellence and renew the existing systems, through the smart technologies, to implement the futuristic visions and strategies”, Al Nuaimi concluded.

Maggie Gallagher, President of Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards said that this year’s edition of the Awards witnessed unrivalled turnout, as all the tickets of the honoring party were sold out within few days of the announcement of its date. “The number of people who attended the party exceeded 230 persons from the 18 countries that participated in the Awards, e.g. leaders, officials, owners of companies, chairmen of governmental and private institutions, and CEO”, Gallagher advised. She underlined her happiness for the achievements of the winners, and she confirmed that they are deservedly deemed as a symbol for brilliance, achievement, and excellence.

“The works which were submitted by the nominees for the awards this year were subjected to arbitration and evaluation by 150 efficient & experienced arbitrators from all over the world, who acted according to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and transparency. All nominations have been subjected to a systematic assessment mechanism”, she clarified.

“I would like to convey RAK Chamber and their leaders my deep thanks for sponsoring the Awards, which contributed to the success of this edition of the Awards, and the previous editions”, she added.

“What we have achieved through the Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards, with co-operation with RAK represented in RAK Chamber, aimed to highlight the successful and excellent experiments in the 18 countries that participated in this year’s edition of the Awards, and honoring the efficient people in the governmental and private institutions”, Gallagher concluded.

The following are the names of the institutions that won more than one award from the UAE, where the Integrated Transport Center in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi alone won 13 awards, while the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi won 10 awards, and DHL won 24 awards at the level of its offices in the Middle East. Its office in the Emirates won 10 awards, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection won 9 awards, Etihad Rail won 8 awards, Al Dhafra Municipality in Zayed City won 8 awards, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council won 5 awards, and the Emirates Health Services Corporation won 5 awards.

About the destinations, “Miral” in Abu Dhabi won 5 awards, Gilliams Digital Marketing Agency won 5 awards, Askera International in Dubai won 5 awards, Response Plus Holdings won 4 awards, the Roads and Transport Authority Dubai won 3 awards, and Memac Oaklvie Advertising won 3 awards. Two awards each from Abu Dhabi University, ADNOC, Department of Health in Dubai, Channel Engine, Insurance Services in Dubai, Culture and Arts Authority Dubai. The award was also won by RAK Ceramics, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Public Prosecution in Dubai, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, Company Abu Dhabi Precast, Mashreq Bank, Commercial International Bank, and all the winners have been announced on the award website.
