54 Patrols to Ensure Student Safety at the Start of the School Year

The Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police General Headquarters has deployed 54 patrols to organize traffic and circulation on the emirate’s streets and intersections over the course of an entire month, in a bid to ensure student safety as they begin the new school year.

Brigadier Ahmad Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director of the RAK Police Traffic and Patrols Department, asserted that an integrated plan has been set to organize traffic in front of schools and busy streets and intersections, deploying officers and individuals to monitor circulation.

Furthermore, RAK Police set an agenda for several field visits to students throughout the school year, where visiting delegates would offer them advice and instructions regarding road safety measures to follow.

Brig. Al Naqbi underlined the importance of full cooperation from parents and motorists, particularly in terms of giving way to school buses on the road, in order to achieve the main objective of ensuring a safe school year.
