Inauguration of New Prevented Safety Institute in Ras Al Khaimah

17 July 2019

Ras Al Khaimah Police inaugurated the Prevented Safety Institute today, in partnership with RAK Civil Defence and the RAK General Resources Authority, to enhance the emirate’s safety and security apparatus.

The launch offers a significant boost to local efforts to enhance security at facilities around the emirate – be they government entities or private companies – and ensure the safety of citizens and residents at the workplace, as well as on public and private property. The Institute’s inauguration coincided with the launch of an initiative to allocate 10 seats every day for homemakers and domestic workers, free of charge, to introduce them to the steps they need to follow to prevent fires, or deal with them should they occur, to protect themselves and their families.

The Institute consists of three training halls that can accommodate 25 people each. The trainees will take part in mandatory theoretical and practical lessons covering prevention conditions for various facilities and underlining their importance. These principles are then implemented by highly competent experts.
