Ras Al Khaimah Police organized a ‘World Heart Day’ event at Cafe Barbera on Al Qawasim Corniche, with the event attended by a number of police leaders and representatives of various community groups in the emirate.

The awareness event hosted by Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Medical Services Department was held in conjunction with World Heart Day, which falls on September 29 each year.

The event was staged to raise awareness among different segments of society in Ras Al Khaimah of the risk factors leading to cardiovascular disease, the signs and symptoms of heart problems, and to emphasize the importance of undergoing regular health checks.

The event included free medical examinations for the public, such as screening for diabetes and blood pressure, pulse and temperature vital sign measurements. Health consultations were conducted by the medical and nursing team of the RAK Police Medical Services Department and gifts and guidance leaflets distributed.
