Ras Al Khaimah has been named as one of the top ten places in the world to visit by a leading US publication. In its 2020 travel guide, Buzzfeed said that the Emirate was a global destination for thrill-seekers and explorers because of its “beautiful and rugged” landscape.

The article singled out Jebel Jais – the UAE’s highest peak – as a must-visit for adventurers. Activities on the mountain include the world’s longest zipline and the ‘via ferrata’, the first protected climbing route in the Middle East.

“The thrills here won’t stop until you do,” the article noted.

The piece also highlighted the Emirate’s modern hotels, including Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa, and Waldorf Astoria.
