Brigadier Salim Sultan Al Darmaki, Acting Director-General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, underlined the importance of immediate responses and speed of reaching accident sites in the event of an emergency.
Brig. Al Darmaki made his comments at the coordination meeting, held to discuss the outcomes of the workshop on the National Emergency Response Index. He emphasized the need to set a deployment plan for patrols in critical areas in order to shorten response time.
“These measures seek to promote a feeling of safety and security among residents, and ensure better preparedness for handling emergencies,” Brig. Al Darmaki explained, adding that it is necessary to restructure the administrative process between the operations room and first respondents in the traffic, security, and criminal sectors.
Ras Al Khaimah has implemented a plan to distribute MDT devices to all relevant departments to improve response speed in the emirate.
