Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police Inaugurates Mobile Field Crisis and Emergency Management Center

His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and Head of the Local Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team in Ras Al Khaimah, inaugurated a mobile field crisis and emergency management center – the first of its kind in the Emirate.

The launch was attended by H.E. Brigadier General Abdullah Khamis Al-Hadidi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, along with several Director-Generals, as well as Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director General of Public Services Department; Munther Mohammed Bin Shakar Al Zaabi, Director General of the RAK Municipality Department; Falah Mohammad Al Harsh, Director of the Emergency Crisis and Disaster Centre in Ras Al Khaimah; and Dr Saif Muhammad Al Ghais, Executive Director of the Environment Protection and Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah.

H.E. Maj. Gen. Al Nuaimi asserted that the center was equipped with the latest technologies, smart systems, means of communication, monitoring, and remote control. It also houses a conference room that can accommodate 19 people, making it a significant new addition to the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, which is committed to harnessing all resources and capacities to develop its operations and security services, in line with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior to promote safety and ensure preparedness for any developments. The new center also serves to facilitate rapid response and effectiveness, in addition to promoting strategic partnerships by distributing roles among all entities tasked with emergency, crisis, and disaster management at the local level.

“This is one of the most impactful approaches for the police force to deal with emergencies and crises in the field,” H.E. Al Nuaimi noted; “it helps speed up response, all while ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Ras Al Khaimah Police is committed to enhancing its fleet with the latest procedures and equipment, in an effort to achieve the vision and objectives of the Ministry of Interior.”

For his part, Colonel Yusef Salem bin Yaqoub, Director of the Special Tasks Department, Head of the Mobile Field Center Equipping Team, stated that the center works effectively, strategically, and operationally, in a way that enhances training programs. “The center also runs innovative scenarios to enhance communication efficiency and support decision-making at the leadership level during emergencies and crises,” he explained; “it works closely with the main operations room at the RAK Police General Headquarters, and strives to promote strategic partnerships by assigning roles to the various local and federal entities, ministries, and institutions involved in emergency, disaster, and crisis management in Ras Al Khaimah.

Col. bin Yaqoub highlighted the mobile center’s robust electronic and technological infrastructure, where it has been equipped with advanced systems and devices. This serves to facilitate communication between teams to support decision-making and provide the necessary evidence and data. The center allows these teams to run their own systems for several months without having to move from the site.

The Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and the remaining attendees were introduced to the center’s features and equipment, as well as the main tasks it is entrusted with and the field role it plays in dealing with emergencies, disasters, and crises.
