Ras Al Khaimah International Airport announces their new airline partner Spicejet to commence direct flight between Ras Al Khaimah and New Delhi

  • India’s leading low-cost carrier SpiceJet to commence operation to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport from December 2019.
  • Direct Flights to commence between New Delhi and Ras Al Khaimah.
  • Five flights weekly scheduled with the aim to gradually increase the frequency.
  • SpiceJet’s projected plan includes making Ras Al Khaimah as their first international hub.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) has expanded its route network and welcomed the arrival of their new airline partner SpiceJet to connect their new service from New Delhi to Ras Al Khaimah effective December 2019. The announcement was made at the press event in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Khalid Bin Saud Al Qasimi – Vice Chairman, Investment and Development Office, Government of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Omar bin Saqr bin Khaled Al Qasimi, Board Member of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Executive Manager of Investment & Development Office, Mr. Sanjay Khanna, Chief Executive Officer, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Mr. Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet, Mr. Manjiv Singh, Chief Project Officer, SpiceJet, Mr. Henry Moses, Vice President, Sales and Network Planning, SpiceJet, during an official signing ceremony held at the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah.

Commencing from December 2019, SpiceJet, India’s second biggest airline will operate regular direct flights between Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah. The route will be operated five times a week, targeted to gradually increase the frequency.

H.E. Engr. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation Ras Al Khaimah, said “We are pleased to welcome SpiceJet to our expanding network of international carriers at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and look forward to this long-term partnership with them. Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is fast emerging as an airport of choice for many airline partners. From our partnership, we not only aim to connect India but also assist SpiceJet to create network hub at Ras Al Khaimah to go further to Europe, meeting the needs of Indian tourist as well as facilitating easy travel solution for tourist arriving to Ras Al Khaimah from Europe.
