The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command launched the ‘Ras Al Khaimah Is Safe’ campaign, after directives from His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al-Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police.
Major General Al-Nuaimi said that the launch of the campaign forms part of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command’s contribution towards achieving the Ministry of Interior’s strategic goal to enhance security throughout the country, curb crime, ensure the safety of citizens and residents and protect their property.
“Enhancing safety and security is a top priority for Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, which periodically launches campaigns and initiatives that serve public interest, reduce crime and reassure all segments of the community,” H.E. noted. “To succeed, these initiatives require the public’s engagement and cooperation. The new campaign calls for intensifying security personnel presence in vital areas and tourist hotspots at all times.”
For his part, H.E. Brigadier Abdullah Ali Mankhas, Director General of Police Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, and general supervisor of the campaign, stated that the ‘Ras Al Khaimah Is Safe’ campaign, which was launched in cooperation with strategic partners, aims to intensify police patrols in popular areas and tourist hotspots in order to keep security under control and ensure a rapid response to emergency situations.
“The areas covered by the campaign were determined based on a thorough analysis of the Perception of Safety index and the crimes that most worry the community,” H.E. Mankhas explained. “Security patrols will work to ensure the safety and comfort of citizens, residents and visitors to Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to providing rapid assistance in emergency situations and working to bring security situations under control.”
The campaign’s launch ceremony included a parade of patrol vehicles emblazoned with the new RAK Police logo, showcasing the police’s role in ensuring safety and security, in the presence of RAK Police Director General of Central Operations, Brigadier Tareq Mohammed bin Saif.
Brig. bin Saif said that Ras Al Khaimah Police strives to remain up-to-date with the continuous developments taking place in the modern police sector. “Our objective is to provide high-end police services in accordance with the most advanced standards, which enables policemen to perform their duties in the field, promote positivity and happiness, and enhance the public’s confidence in those services,” he asserted.
Brig. Tareq bin Saif underlined the pioneering role that police patrols play in maintaining security, reassuring the community, promoting awareness and education and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. “This, in turn, helps achieve the Emirate’s aspirations to prevent crime using modern and innovative methods,” he concluded.
