Captain Ghanem Jassim Al Suwaidi, Head of the Tourist Police Department in Ras Al Khaimah Police, indicated that the department owns a number of luxury cars and other environmentally friendly cars that are present in various tourism events according to the nature of each event and the type of vehicles it needs.
He stressed the role of the existing and permanent cooperation and coordination between the Tourism Police Department and the Tourism Development Authority in supporting the tourism sector in Ras and advancing the development in this sector to reap more successes and preserve the status of Ras Al Khaimah, which was chosen for two consecutive years as the capital of Gulf tourism, pointing out that the selection of police personnel The tourism sector is subject to several criteria, the most important of which are the proficiency in several languages, dealing with the ability to speed up decision-making, as they are trained and qualified through specialized quality courses that help them perform their duty in the required manner and play a role in enhancing the security aspect of tourists and visitors from inside and outside the country.
For his part, Iyad Rasbeeh, Executive Director of Destination Tourism Development, Incentives and Conferences Events, at the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, explained that government support in the emirate is the main driver in the tourism sector reaching the distinguished position it has reached, which made Ras Al Khaimah the capital of Gulf tourism for the current and last years. straight.
He stated that the geographical, historical and heritage diversity in Ras Al Khaimah and its possession of world-class hotels and resorts contributed to making it an important destination for tourists from inside and outside the country, which is reflected in the reception of Jebel Jais during the Eid Al-Adha holiday of 20,000 visitors, while the professionalism of dealing with the Corona pandemic contributed. He stressed the importance of fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Tourism Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah and the General Command of the Emirate’s Police in general, the Traffic and Patrols Department, and the Tourist Police Department in particular, and its role in advancing the tourism development process in the Emirate to reap more successes and achievements.
