Ras Al Khaimah Police announced that two new rescue boats have been introduced to support the emirate’s marine rescue services, marking a new beginning in RAK’s efforts to secure its beaches and provide ambulance and rescue services in the event of maritime incidents – services that meet high standards of quality and the requirements of emergency responses. The boats are 38 feet long and ten feet wide; they are equipped with two six-cylinder engines with 300 hp capacity and a maximum speed of 85 kilometres per hour. This is a significant step-up from the boats previously used, which do not exceed 35 kilometres per hour speeds.
